Integrating
authentic activities in the classroom is important because the more exposure
students have to activities or tasks mirroring real-life problems, the better
prepared they will be to succeed in school, careers, and adulthood.
Authentic activities equip students with skill sets that are practical and
useful, while addressing topics "relevant and applicable to their lives
outside of school" (Liberty Concepts, 2013, para. 1).
